Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 09:34AM Shoriya has been inspired by Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees reaching 3,000 hits this year. So, she immediately dropped the Dora-the-explorer dolls and Backyardigans TV episodes for a baseball bat and ball. Well, a sponge bat and a wiffle ball. She's got a good swing and hit one of my curve balls out of the park! Here she is during practice and then in a game with Coach K.
Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:28PM Shoriya had her first experience on the dance floor at our friends Amol and Sumathi's wedding. She had a blast and even lead a few moves in the middle of the circle. Thank you Naseem uncle for teaching a few new steps! We're trying to figure out which parent she got her dance moves from. Please let us know in the comments!
Monday, April 25, 2011 at 12:43AM While in Mexico, Sri, Vindya, Kalp and I took Shori out to the water. It's so cute to watch her first reaction ever to the ocean. We'll have to do this again soon. Please pardon the overly dramatic sounds (mainly me). I never want to forget these moments.
Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 10:27PM Last month, we went down to Mexico for our friends Vivek and Suma's wedding. It was a blast! We all had a great time and those two know how to throw a party. While we were there, we had a small birthday shindig for Shoriya just among family friends. Of course, no birthday party in Mexico is complete without...you guessed it...a pinata. This is a long video, but cute. Shori got a kick of our hitting the pinata with Mommy, Daddy, Vinjakka, and her Ajjas and we all just loved her laugh.
Monday, April 18, 2011 at 01:58AM No birthday for a 2 yr old is complete without helium balloons. Shoriya decided (with my help of course) to start boxing with hers. Her laugh is just too cute.
