Balloons!

After her first birthday parties (yes, plural), we had a few balloons we brought back home. Shori, Kalp and I watched the Pixar movie UP and I think Cuddles here was inspired.

Here's little cutie Shoriya starting to get into music. Unlike her dad, she has the beat! My favorite is her piano recital where I was trying to sing along.

Shori and her friend Janu had a play date at Janu's house. Janu was a good sport when Shori started taking of all her toys. Her laugh is so cute. Check out Shori banging the hammer to let Janu know who's the older baby! Can't wait for that lesson about sharing in nursery school!
This is a cute one. Shoriya finished her breakfast and then starting making bird like sounds. As much as I've tried, I haven't been able to get her to do it again. I'm working on it!
It's very interesting to watch kids playing with toys. Sometimes, I think they're so uninterested by the smorgasbord of building blocks, strange looking stuffed animals, and such that they just need more to satisfy their curiosity. Enter the cell phone. Blackberry, LG, Samsung, iPhone... it doesn't matter. Any cell phone works and it will keep them occupied for hours. The best part though is that they're watching you use that phone, as evidenced by this clip on the ride home from Shoriya's birthday party:
